Armani/Silos hosted a Film Series, in collaboration with the JAZZMI music festival, featuring a great classic of jazz and cinema every Thursday night. The series kicked off with a Miles Davis tribute concert.

FILM SERIES: 10TH EDITION – THE CHALLENGE

The tenth edition of the Film Series featured six movies that struck a cord with Tadao Ando due to the importance he places on personal passions and ambition. The titles selected by the architect were: Death in Venice, The Name of the Rose, The Belly of an Architect, Herb & Dorothy, Herb & Dorothy 50×50 and Samurai Architect Tadao Ando.

13TH FEBRUARY – 20TH MARCH, 2019

FILM SERIES: 9TH EDITION – FABULA

The ninth series featured six movies chosen by Charles Fréger, tied together by a focus on individuality versus community, expanding on the artist’s own engaging work – an investigation into humankind and man’s sense of belonging: Palombella Rossa, Beau Travail, Spirited Away, The Village, Moonrise Kingdom and Toni Erdmann.

VITE STRAORDINARIE (EXTRAORDINARY LIVES)

The seventh edition of the Film Series presented six titles selected to illustrate, through the biopic documentary genre, men and women that have lived an intensely paradigmatic, extraordinary life: Finding Vivian Maier, Let’s get lost, The Art Life, The Salt of the Earth, A letter to Elia and Listen to me Marlon.

ARMANI/LABORATORIO: 1ST EDITION – UNA GIACCA (A JACKET)

A cinematographic training course for eight creative people specializing in the field of cinema, comprising eight training modules, one for each discipline, taught by leading professionals in the industry at Armani/Silos.
